About the House of Boyd Society Database
Entry to our database, unfortunately, is suspended until a new Genealogist is appointed.
Members are welcome to contact us for a form in order to submit their genealogies to the database. We cannot stress enough how much this may help your search. If you do not submit your data sheet for the database, you may miss connecting with your cousins when they join the Society. Not all of our members are online. Each time we enter a record to our database, it is cross checked against all the previous entries. This means that each time a member submits their data, it is compared with your data to see if there is a match. Contact us if you have questions genealogist@clanboyd.org
About Privacy Issues
You can rest assured that we respect your right to privacy. We NEVER send a member's data to others, we put the parties in touch with each other so they can exchange the data they feel comfortable about exchanging. This also leaves you in control of being certain that your most recent data is supplied and you can set the parameters for copyrights, etc. in your exchange.
Internet Uploads
The House of Boyd Society will never upload your submitted data to a website or a surname list. This is something you may do for yourself and remain in control of what is released. There are several sites at which you can do this. No need to have a third party do it for you. Remain in control of your data on the Internet. Most sites have a search engine that enables folks to connect with your data on the site even though it seems to be in its own file and not connected with a larger body of genealogies.
