We are pleased to announce the 2008 Annual General Meeting is to be held the first weekend of June 2008 -- the 6th through the 8th. It will be in conjunction with The 21st annual Texas Scottish Festival & Highland Games. This event is held at Maverick Stadium, UTA Campus, Arlington Texas.

AGM Committee Chair, HBS Founder, Joe Boyd Williams and the Committee Members look forward to hearing from you. They are working on details and will have preliminary information regarding this weekend in the near future.

Plan on visiting the games and spending some time at the clan tent on Saturday and Sunday.

We would like to hear from any that are interested in attending so we may better plan for the event. This is your opportunity to gather with other members of the House of Boyd, get to know them and share your ideas. As this is our 20th Anniversary Year Celebration, please bring your HBS memorabilia to share with others. If you are interested in volunteering, at the tent or events on the AGM weekend, please let us know. We will welcome your assistance.

We are extremely pleased to announce the 2009 Annual General Meeting is to be held in Edinburgh, Scotland the first weekend of July 25th & 26th 2009. It will be in conjunction with The Gathering 2009, Holyrood Park, Edinburgh, Scotland.

AGM Committee has not yet formed. We forward to hearing from members interested in serving.

Plan on marching in the Clan Parade down the Royal Mile with us on Friday evening, attending the games and spending some time at the clan tent on Saturday and Sunday. We have not yet determined where and when the meeting will take place.

Plan on joining the Clan Historian, Mike Boyd of Australia, for the week preceeding the AGM on tours of Boyd related areas and archives that hold Boyd genealogical and historical records. More details will be available later. In the meanwhile you may contact Mike at his Society email address Historian@clanboyd.org.

We would like to hear from any that are interested in attending so we may better plan for the event. We have ordered a small space as the cost is so dear, however, if there is to be a large turnout of Boyds from 'round the world, we will need to plan to upgrade SOON. This is your opportunity to gather with other members of the House of Boyd from around the world, get to know them and share your ideas. This gathering in Scotland is an Historic event. Please do plan to find a way to join us on this momentus occasion. If you are interested in volunteering, at the tent or events on the AGM weekend, please let us know. We will welcome your assistance.

General Information re the festival is available on The Gathering 2009 website and they produce an electronic newsletter that you may subscribe to. The event is coordinating and publicizing travel and accomodations. However, you may want to watch this site also for updates. We have members who are travel agents who are coming forward to offer advice and assistance.
